performance artwork for TCA Presents – Dutchman

Dutchman is a play that chronicles the fateful meeting of a African American man with a white woman on a New York City subway train as they match wits in a sexualized game of cat and mouse that concludes in violence. This play’s depiction of racially charged conflict being framed within the loose trappings of the classic Adam and Eve tale is represented by the arms of its two figures grappling over an apple, surrounded by the blood red train lines of a subway map.
