‘Twas The Night Before Remix

Twas the middle of a recession and all through the house …
not a company was succeeding and my boss was a louse…
Sales managers were hung by their thumbs with no care
in hopes that the recession would not leave them there

Designers and assistants were all left for dead
while visions of pink slips danced in their head
With Lauren in her jacket and Steph in her coat,
we ditched the bad boss and made off in a boat

When out in the market there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my slumber to see what’s the matter
Away to our own office we flew like a flash
and set up in the Airpark without any cash

With no clients or money we’d make it a go …
hard work and talent we’d have to show
When, what to my wondering ears should appear?
A call from Fort McDowell, a client oh dear!

A grumpy ol’ client who was super tough …
I knew in a moment we’d make better stuff
About that time I noticed their game …
that Lauren and Steph were amazing, the same!

Clients came calling now Brian and Jen …
Our team was so small but our minds were open
Come Erin, come Jordon, and Andrew of course …
to the top of the market with the speed of a horse!

Now work away, work away, work away all …
a move down to Phoenix would happen in fall
As the clients came calling the phone it would ring …
we added a Taylor and she’s quite a thing
Our services swelled with a wink of an eye
as we added a few others and that one red-headed guy
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the street …
Washington Law needs a hand and they’re super neat

Down the chimney with Horne Auto, CellOne and KO’s …
ReThinc would start growing with our Peoria bros
As I returned to the helm from my days doing sports …
I ditched my old suit for a polo and shorts

Come Sunstate and ALCA and our friends in Tempe …
ReThinc would be hired by VSMG
And behold my wondering eyes would appear
We added a Nikole and a Kalyn, oh dear!

As I wind this thing down I’d be amiss not to say
We friended AZ Pnuematic, Lantana, Wheaton Way
It all comes down to one simple thought
